Woking Football Club has announced the return of Alan Judge. The 35-year-old former Republic of Ireland midfielder rejoins the Cards after a period as a free agent.

Born in Dublin, Judge progressed through the Blackburn Rovers academy but did not make a league appearance for the then-Premier League club. Successful loan spells at Plymouth Argyle and Notts County led to a permanent move to Notts in January 2011.

After two seasons at Notts, Judge returned to Blackburn in 2013 but found it difficult to secure a place in the team, resulting in a loan to League One side Brentford. He joined Brentford permanently in 2014 after playing a crucial role in their promotion to the Championship, spending five seasons with the club and earning nine international caps due to his outstanding performance.

He then spent three seasons with Ipswich Town before moving to League Two Colchester United in 2021. A triple rupture in his left knee in December 2022 sidelined Judge for the rest of the 2022/23 season.

After being released by Colchester in the summer of 2023, Judge joined Woking in March 2024 following the completion of his rehabilitation program. He made three appearances after debuting off the bench at Southend before being sidelined for the remainder of the season. Judge has trained with the Cards for much of this season and is now looking forward to returning to the field.
