As he nears 100 appearances for the Shrimpers, Gus Scott-Morriss reflected fondly on his time at Roots Hall so far. The right wing-back joined Essex in the summer of 2022 and has played 99 games to date, scoring an impressive 22 goals.


Looking ahead to what could be his 100th game at Altrincham, Scott-Morriss remarked: “It’s come around so quickly, it only feels like yesterday that I signed. It’s been a great time, with ups and downs, but it’s probably been the best time of my career.
